Restraint Dashboard
The Restraint Dashboard provides users with the ability to analyze metrics related to restraints, with a focus on restraints that were conducted improperly.
The purpose of the Restraint Dashboard is to identify common causes of restraints which resulted in an individual being improperly restrained. This information is provided in an effort to maintain compliance with ODP’s restraint policies and procedures for restraining individuals who are served under ODP waivers and programs.
| Field Name | Field Description |
| Date Range | Select the date range to show data for incidents that occurred within the date range. |
| Waiver/Program | Select a Waiver/Program or multiple Waivers/Programs to show data for incidents where individuals were enrolled in the selected Waiver/Program at the time the incident was created. |
| Region | Select a region or multiple regions to show data for incidents based on the region of the individual’s Residential County at the time the incident was created for Individual incidents or the provider’s Service Location County for Site Level incidents. |
| Residential/Serv Loc County | Select a county or multiple counties to show data for incidents based on the individual’s Residential County at the time the incident was created for Individual incidents or the provider’s Service Location County for Site Level incidents. |
| Provider | Select a provider or multiple providers to show data for incidents filed for the selected provider(s). |
| Provider Type | Select a Provider Type or multiple Provider Types to show data for incidents filed for the selected Provider Type(s). |
| Service Location | Select a Service Location or multiple Service Locations to show data for incidents filed for the selected Service Location(s). |
| Individuals Restrained | This metric displays the number of unique individuals for whom a restraint incident was filed. |
| Individuals without RPP | This metric displays the number of unique individuals who were restrained and did not have a Restrictive Procedure Plan in place at the time the incident was created. Note: Information for Restrictive Procedure Plans is based on the current approved Plan at the time the incident was created. |
| Total Restraints | This metric displays the total number of restraint incidents that have been filed. |
| Improper Restraints | This metric displays the percentage of incidents that are considered improper compared to the total number of restraint incidents that have been filed. |
| Injuries | This metric displays the number of individuals who were injured during the restraint. |
| Restraints per Individual | This chart displays counts for the number of times a unique individual was restrained, and groups the counts into predetermined groupings (0-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20, 21+). |
| Improper Restraint Procedures | This chart displays the counts of the number of restraint incidents where an improper procedure was used. Note: This chart is broken out by the reason(s) why the restraint procedure was considered improper. A single restraint procedure may be considered improper for more than one reason. |
| Restrictive Procedures | This chart displays the number of incidents categorized as a combination of Primary and Secondary categories related to restraints. Note: Only Abuse and Rights Violation incidents with an investigation determination of Confirmed are included in the chart. |
